Responsibilities:
Respond to customers with any service related problems and help with troubleshooting the equipment and repair as necessary.
Assist in the assembly and commissioning of new equipment
Install upgrades to improve machine performance.
Interface with mine maintenance personnel and Joy Global Account Managers with regard to equipment, parts and service.
Troubleshooting and repair of the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of all Joy Global Mining Equipment.
Use computer software and other equipment to troubleshoot equipment issues. PLCs and drives manufactured by ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and others.
Install upgrades and or replacement components on equipment as needed.
Work with Joy Global engineering on issues related to the equipment in our area.
Complete daily Service Reports and also complete a report for the customer before leaving for the day.
Provide 24/7 on-call service as scheduled.
Help promote sales, service and electrical and mechanical upgrades.
Work as a team with peer Service Engineers to share experience and knowledge.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Journeyman electrician and/or 2 year degree in electrical related program.
At least 5 years related experience.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong computer skills (PLC, VFD, drives and programming)
Willing to travel up to 50%
Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Mechanical knowledge on a broad range of mining equipment a plus.
MSHA certification preferred.
Commitment to work safely and maintain the equipment in safe operating condition.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
